Terms & Conditions

Ordering & Cancellation

There is no minimum order.
We advise that you order your stationery at least 6 months prior to your wedding date.
Your order will be considered to have been placed after your signed order form and deposit has been received by Purple Papillon.
The 50% deposit is strictly non refundable should you wish to cancel your order.
Cancellations must be confirmed in writing or by e-mail.

Payment
All orders must be confirmed with a 50% non-refundable deposit. Once payment has cleared you will receive written confirmation that your order has been placed.
Full payment of the balance will be required once your order has been completed. Once this payment has cleared your stationery will bedispatched.

Lead Times
Day and evening invitations will be scheduled to be delivered 10 weeks before your wedding date, unless otherwise specified and agreed.
On the day items such as Order of Service, Menus, Place Cards, Table Plans, etc will be scheduled to be delivered 1 week before the wedding date, unless otherwise specified and agreed. These items are best left to last minute as there can often be changes to final guest names and seating plans.

Delivery
If your address is within a 10 mile radius of Dundee your order can be delivered personally to you free of charge, or you can collect from our address at an agreed time.
Alternatively, courier delivery will be charged.
Deliveries will be sent to your invoice address, unless we are informed of a different delivery address.
Purple Papillon will not be held responsible for any delays in production or delivery due to customers not meeting proof/sign-off deadlines.

Proofs
All proofing will be done via e-mail unless paper copies are requested. Documents sent for proofing will be sent in PDF format.
You are responsible for checking all wording, spelling, grammar and punctuation on proofs and samples to ensure that it is correct. These must be signed or confirmed in writing by e-mail or post prior to commencement of your order.
Once confirmation/approval is received, no alterations can be made. Any amendments required after the wording has been approved will incur an additional charge.

Supply of Information
You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided to Purple Papillon is correct. This includes spellings of guest names for invitations, table plans and any other items.

Refunds
As all stationery is personalised, we regret that we cannot offer refunds.
Any defects or errors with goods must be reported to Purple Papillon by email within 48 hours of the goods being received by the customer. After 48 hours, the goods will be deemed to have been accepted by you.
In the event that the error reported is a typographical error by Purple Papillon (i.e it differs from the guest list or wording supplied by the customer) Purple Papillon shall replace the item(s) affected. In these circumstances you may be required to return the item(s), in original packaging. Purple Papillon will either arrange for the package to be collected personally if within a 10 mile radius of Dundee. Alternatively, we may ask you to return it by Royal Mail or courier and we will reimburse you for the postage cost. Replacement items shall be sent out as soon as possible.
IMPORTANT: Reprints or refunds will not be made if the goods contain errors but are as ordered and proofed by you. It is therefore vital that you ensure that the information and guest names given to Purple Papillon are correct.

Prices
Quotes remain valid for a period of 6 months from the date on the quote and shall not be affected by any price increases during this period.

Variations
As all of our stationery is handmade, very slight variations between items can occur. We take great care to keep variations between items to an absolute minimum.
We reserve the right to substitute materials for similar products should materials become unavailable, however we will always inform the customer and gain approval if we need to substitute a product and will always use a substitute of equal or higher quality.

Copyright and Data Protection
Purple Papillon will not share your personal details with any third party.
All stationery designs are the copyright of Purple Papillon and shall not be copied or reproduced in whole or in part, by any individual or party.
It is your responsibility to obtain the correct copyright permission for hymns, readings or pictures to be included in your stationery.

Safety
Our stationery is not intended for use by children as the small embellishments used may represent a choking hazard. Please keep out of reach of children and babies.

Responsibility and Storage of Stationery
Once stationery is received by you, it is your responsibility to ensure that it remains in good condition. Purple Papillon will not be held responsible for any damages to stationery once it leaves our studio.
Purple Papillon will not be held responsible for any damage caused to stationery during to postage to guests.
We advise that you take items to a Post Office to check weights and stamps required prior to posting to your guests.
